The shoulder of the road is supposed to be a safe place to address car trouble or some other problem. All too often, however, people are seriously injured on the side of the road. According to a recent article in the Shorewood Patch, a pickup truck was parked on the shoulder of I-80 when a semi-trailer truck struck it and injured two people.
The Patch reports that a male in the pick-up was taken to a nearby hospital and a woman in the pick-up was airlifted to a hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois. The semi-truck driver was unhurt. If the semi-trailer truck driver was negligent, the victims may be entitled to compensation of their injuries.
