Seven Clients Retain DeBlasio Law Group in Lightspeed Media Computer Hacking Lawsuit.

May 18, 2012 — DeBlasio & Gower LLC, has been engaged by seven (7) separate clients in connection with the lawsuit filed in Illinois state court by Lightspeed Media Corporation alleging that hundreds if not thousands of individuals either hacked Lightspeed’s website to obtain legitimate user passwords or used the hacked passwords to get access to Lightspeed’s subscriber content.

The lawsuit asserts claims under the federal computer fraud and abuse statute, 18 U.S.C. § 1030 et seq., as well as common law claims for unjust enrichment, civil conspiracy, conversion and breach of contract.  A copy of the lawsuit, without the exhibits identifying the IP addresses of the John Doe defendants, can be viewed by clicking here Complaint.
