Lawsuit Filed By Family of NIU Freshman Who Died During Fraternity Hazing.

Imagine sending your teenage son or daughter off to college, never to see them alive again.  That is what happened to the parents of Northern Illinois University freshman David Bogengerger who was found dead on November 2, 2012 in a fraternity house after an initiation party the night before.   It has been reported that his blood alcohol level was five times the legal limit.

His parents have sued the fraternity in Cook County Circuit Court alleging that members of the fraternity made him drink excessive amounts of alcohol and then failed to get help when he lost consciousness.  The lawsuit includes as defendants 22 members of the fraternity.  For a report, click here.
