NEDSRA was formed in 1976 to provide for those with disabilities, the same variety of recreation services available to individuals without disabilities. From its humble beginnings, NEDSRA now provides more than 600 programs and services annually to 4,000+ separate individuals a year.
NEDSRA’s programs are open to all individuals including those with: Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Learning and Behavioral Disabilities, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Developmentally Delayed, Early Childhood, Mentally Disabled, Mentally Ill, Multi-Needs, Physically Disabled, Visually Impaired, Youth at Risk, Seniors and other special needs. Its programs promote many benefits that add to the overall quality of life for each individual.
